Rostering & labour
Rosters built against forecast demand, a live labour percentage during service, timesheets that flow to payroll, and per-person workforce insights.

What it is
The labour workbench runs rostering, scheduling, timesheets, tips and the payroll handover in one place, split by front of house, back of house and management. Workforce insights adds an advisory profile per employee — attendance, versatility, competencies — to inform decisions without replacing judgement.
What problem it solves
Most venues discover their labour percentage after the week is over, when it's too late to do anything about it. Rosters get built from habit rather than demand, and the person writing them can't see what the week is likely to take. Here the roster, the punches and the sales sit together, so the labour number is live, not historical.
How it works
-
Build the roster by department and employment type. A demand strip compares your rostered hours against recommended hours for each day, driven by your revenue forecast — or by your own trading history when no forecast exists yet.
-
During service, the live labour card shows cost so far today, projected cost, revenue so far, and the live labour percentage — plus who's punched in against who's rostered.
-
Timesheets move from pending to approved to paid; approved timesheets are what pay runs are built from, so the roster-to-payroll chain has no re-keying.
-
Workforce insights gives each employee an advisory profile built from six signals — attendance and break reliability, role versatility, competencies, tenure and sales attribution — presented explicitly as signals to inform, not replace, managerial judgement. Every profile view is recorded in the audit log.
Everything inside the system
- Rostering with department and employment-type views, and demand guidance from forecast or trading history.
- Live labour percentage against revenue during service, with punched-in versus rostered counts.
- Timesheets with a pending, approved and paid flow feeding straight into pay runs.
- Tip pool visibility alongside the roster.
- Per-employee workforce insight profiles with audit-logged access.
This is built into NexDine — there is no separate rostering product to buy. If you already roster in Deputy or Tanda, both connect as full integrations set up from inside NexDine; when Tanda is your pay source, it takes over pay runs and NexDine keeps everything else in step.
