How NexDine works
One system for the whole venue — bookings, orders, kitchen, staff and money — built for Australian hospitality from day one.
Updated 2 August 2026
NexDine is one system for the whole venue. Bookings, orders, the kitchen, your team, your money — they all run in the same place, on the same data, under the same login.
Most venues run six to twelve disconnected tools: a booking widget, a POS, a kitchen printer, a rostering app, a loyalty punch card, a website someone built years ago, and a spreadsheet holding it all together. None of them talk to each other, so the same menu is typed in four times and the owner does the reconciliation at midnight. NexDine replaces that stack with a single platform — and where a service is inherently external, it connects to it honestly instead of pretending to replace it.
One admin, one source of truth
Your team works in a single admin workspace. Everything hangs off the same records: the menu your kitchen cooks from is the menu on your website, your QR table codes and your online ordering. A booking made on your website lands on the same floor plan your staff run service from. An order placed at the table fires straight to the right kitchen screen.
The admin is organised into modules along a navigation rail. What you see depends on the features your venue has switched on and the role you hold — a chef, a floor manager and an owner each see the workspace that matches their job.
The module map
The platform covers eleven areas, and every one of them is documented in these guides:
- Daily service — orders from every channel, live service view, the floor plan, kitchen displays, tasks and shift checklists.
- Bookings and events — reservations with deposits and waitlist, functions and event spaces, and a sales pipeline for big-ticket enquiries.
- Menu and inventory — menu management, recipe costing and menu engineering, promotions and day-part pricing, stock, purchasing and waste.
- Ordering channels — online ordering on your own website, QR at the table, kiosk and tablet modes, TV signage and device care.
- Guests and marketing — guest CRM and feedback, campaigns, audience segments and automated journeys, and a social content studio.
- Loyalty and gift cards — points, tiers, memberships, a guest self-service portal, and gift cards sold and redeemed anywhere.
- People and payroll — rostering and labour costs, award-aware payroll with STP lodgement, hiring, training and staff self-service.
- Finance and tax — chart of accounts, daily close, approvals, bills and banking, GST and the BAS workbench.
- Analytics and AI — reports, a live pulse dashboard, an owner copilot, a daily brief, and an omnichannel inbox with AI assistance.
- Compliance and safety — food safety and HACCP, temperature logs, allergens, licensing, WHS and privacy.
- Website and settings — your included restaurant website with a full CMS, plus workspace security, roles and integrations.
Built Australian by default
NexDine is an Australian platform and every default reflects it. Prices are GST-inclusive everywhere a guest sees them — the number on the menu is the number they pay. Surcharges display with the exact wording Australian consumer law requires, as prominently as the price itself. Dates read day-month-year, money is Australian dollars, and payroll understands hospitality awards, superannuation and Single Touch Payroll.
Features are switched on per venue
Plans are assembled from a feature catalogue rather than sold as rigid editions. Every venue starts with the core, then switches on the features that match how it actually runs — a cafe doing takeaway needs different tools to a pub running function rooms. You can start small and turn on more later without migrating anything, because it is all one system already.
Honest about what connects
This is built into NexDine — there is no separate tool to buy or log into. Payments are processed by Stripe. Optional connections — Xero for accounting, Deliverect or Doshii for delivery marketplaces, Lightspeed POS, Deputy or Tanda for rostering, your existing Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox, Meta and WhatsApp messaging, and Cloudbeds or Mews if you run rooms — are available if you already use those tools, and every connection is set up and managed from inside NexDine.
