Food safety & HACCP
Digital temperature logs with IoT sensor support, versioned HACCP plans, cleaning schedules with signatures, a PEAL-aligned allergen matrix and recall tracing.

What it is
Food safety in NexDine replaces the clipboard: temperature checks log digitally or straight from sensors, HACCP plans live as versioned documents with their control points, cleaning is signed off on screen, the allergen matrix computes itself from your recipes, and a recall traces affected stock through to the orders that might have served it.
What problem it solves
Paper logs get filled in at the end of the week from memory, and audit day is a panic of finding folders. Digital records with timestamps, thresholds and signatures are the same effort on the day — and inspector-ready every day, with an exportable inspection pack.
How it works
-
The compliance overview is one screen across food safety, WHS, liquor, allergens and privacy — with what needs attention first.
-
Temperature checks are logged in seconds against each piece of equipment with its safe range, and flagged in or out of range automatically. Connect IoT sensors and fridge, freezer and oven readings log themselves — out-of-range readings raise alerts that are acknowledged and resolved, not just noted.
-
HACCP plans are versioned per property: each critical control point records its step, hazard and category, critical limit, monitoring frequency and corrective action, with the control-point table exportable for an auditor. A new version supersedes the old, so the current plan is never in doubt.
-
Cleaning runs on recurring tasks by area and frequency, with overdue flagging — and each completed clean is signed with a drawn signature on screen.
-
The allergen matrix is PEAL-aligned and computed from your recipes: every dish declares contains and may-contain per allergen, with manual tags alongside — and because it reads the live menu, it stays current as dishes change.
-
A food recall is recorded against the inventory item and batch, classified, then traced: supplier receipts carrying the lot, recipes using the ingredient, prep batches, and the orders in the exposure window — through to customers notified and the recall resolved.
Everything inside the system
- Digital temperature logs with equipment ranges, in/out-of-range flagging and IoT sensor auto-logging with alerts.
- Versioned HACCP plans per property with full critical-control-point detail and export.
- Recurring cleaning schedules with overdue tracking and on-screen signatures.
- PEAL-aligned allergen matrix computed from recipes with manual overrides.
- Recall workflow with reason categories, classes, four-layer stock tracing and customer notification tracking.
- An exportable inspection pack for audit day.
This is built into NexDine — there is no separate food-safety app or paper system to maintain. IoT sensors from your hardware vendor post readings into the same log your team writes to, managed from inside NexDine.
