What it is

Functions and events is where private dining, parties, weddings and corporate bookings live. Enquiries and direct bookings come in from your website, quotes are built and paid online, and every confirmed event lands on the room calendar with its details, invoices and guest list.

What problem it solves

Function business usually runs on email threads, DMs and paper quotes — and every handover between them is a chance to lose a deposit-sized booking. NexDine keeps the whole event in one record: what was quoted, what was paid, which room is held, who is coming.

How it works

1. An enquiry arrives from your website's event form, or the guest books a space directly through the online event wizard: pick the space, choose a food package priced per guest, add extras, confirm.

2. Your team builds the quote — spaces, packages, add-ons and custom line items — and the guest reviews it on their own quote page.

3. The guest can request changes in writing from the quote page, or pay the deposit online. Deposits, instalments and final-balance invoices are all generated from the event record.

4. The confirmed event lands on the room calendar, with block-out periods and space management alongside real bookings.

5. Packages and add-ons — bar packages, AV, florals and more — are defined once and offered across events.

6. For ticketed events, guests RSVP on a dedicated page with a live capacity guard, and paid RSVPs are settled by card at the point of response.

7. Both the event booking wizard and the catering enquiry form can be embedded on an external website as an iframe — same flow, no marketing header or footer.

This is built into NexDine — there is no separate function-management tool to buy or log into. Event payments are processed by Stripe, and every form and embed is set up and managed from inside NexDine.
